Investing in the lives of others: Jim and Judy Gleeson

Rockhurst University had an indelible impact on Jim Gleeson, '57. Jim, a small business owner, funded a life insurance policy as part of his estate plan and designated 25% of the proceeds to benefit Rockhurst University. He and his wife Judy worked with us to create the terms and criteria for an endowed scholarship fund which would serve to help students in need. When Jim retired, he volunteered his time to work in our advancement office here at R.U. Jim became an inspiration for our team! He served other donors just like himself – advising, stewarding, and thanking them for their generosity.

Jim and Judy have demonstrated the generosity and loyalty which exemplifies the members of our Heritage Society. Their thoughtfully planned gift has now created a personal legacy that will continue to invest in the lives of others each and every school year for years to come – The James F. and Judith R. Gleason Family Scholarship Fund.
